Hargeisa (HOL) - The Somaliland Ministry of Trade and Industries has revoked the license of a transportation company after it illegally entered Berbera Port.
Integrated Shipping Services, a container and shipping company, was accused by the Ministry of illegally entering the port of Berbera with the head of Ethiopian Shipping and Logistics Services Enterprise (ESLSE).
"Integrated Shipping Service violated the country's laws by entering the port of Berbera with the head of the Ethiopian Shipping and Logistics Service Enterprise without the knowledge of the Somaliland government."
The decree, signed by Minister Mohamoud Hassan Saad (Saajin), added that Integrated Shipping Services' license expired on March 23, 2021.
According to the ESLSE's website, Integrated Shipping Services is one of their agents.
Integrated Shipping Services - a subsidiary of the Laas Group - recently brought the much-publicized Ethiopian Ship named "Gibe" earlier this month. The Gibe marked the first time an Ethiopian ship docked at Berbera Port of Somaliland in two decades.
