JOWHAR (HOL) - Two MPs from HirShabelle state survived a grenade attack Tuesday night in Jowhar barely a month after a similar incident in the same city.
The two regional MPs identified as Abdirahman Idow and Mohamed Dheere were injured and rushed to Jowhar general Hospital.
Sources said assailants hurled a hand grenade at the residence of a local administrator where the two MPs were in.
The incident comes barely a month after three MPs from HirShabelle were also targeted in a hand grenade in Jowhar.
The militant group Al-Shabaab has since claimed responsibility for the Tuesday night attack.
