Garowe (HOL) - A meeting between Somalia's Federal Member States leaders in Garowe was postponed on Monday.
The meeting was reportedly called off by the Galmudug's President, Ahmed Abdi Karie, who was in Mogadishu to meet with Prime Miniter Roble on Sunday.
Details about their meeting have not been published, but sources say that President Qoorqoor asked regional leaders to postpone the Garowe conference after the sitdown.
The regional leaders were slated to discuss the accelerated electoral process and the security situation in Somalia following a bitter political fall-out between the country's two most powerful leaders.
Recently, the presidents of Galmudug and Southwest failed at their first attempt to mediate between Farmajo and Roble.
