BELEDWEYNE (HOL) - Delegates in Beletweyne will elect two more MPs today as Hir-Shabelle state moves to fill up the remaining 10 seats.
The delegates will be voting for seats 19 and 59 with several candidates expected to contest.
Two female candidates, Farhiya Mumin Ali and Samira Hassan Abdulle have since withdrawn from the race.
Seat 19 was initially women-only but has since been opened to contest by both men and women.
The completion of the election for the two seats today will leave Beletweyne with one seat to fill before completing the election for all the 25 seats.
The remaining seat will be that which was held by Amina Mohamed who was killed in a suicide bomb attack on March 23 alongside close to 50 other people.
Once the Beletweyne contest is over, HirShabelle will now remain with seven seats to be filled in the capital Jowhar.
