Russia, Ethiopia, and Djibouti have held a joint business forum via video conference themed "Russia-Ethiopia-Djibouti: Prospects for Business Development".
The forum has been organized by the Coordinating Committee for Economic Cooperation with African Countries (AFROCOM) of the Russian Chamber of Commerce.
Representatives of chambers of commerce of Russia, Ethiopia, and Djibouti, specialized ministries of Ethiopia and Djibouti, as well as members of the business communities of the three countries, took part in the forum, Russia's Embassy in Ethiopia related.
Evgeny Terekhin, Russia's Ambassador to Ethiopia, has addressed the conference participants.
The event helped to raise awareness of Russian, Ethiopian and Djiboutian small and medium entrepreneurs about the potential and possibilities of each other, the Russian Embassy pointed out.
The speakers have also expressed confidence that the forum will serve to strengthen trade and economic relations between the three countries, the Russian Embassy's statement read.
AFROCOM plans to organize a business mission of Russian business representatives to Ethiopia and Djibouti in February 2022.
