Hassan Sheikh Mohamud visits Farmajo at Villa Somalia

    Mogadishu (HOL) -Somalia's President-Elect, Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, held a meeting on Tuesday with outgoing President Mohamed Abdullahi Mohamed, where they discussed the transfer of the president's office.‎

    ‎

    Former President Mohamed Abdullahi appointed the Presidential Delegation Organizing Committee led by the Director-General of the National President, Dr. Mohamed Abdullahi Issa, to prepare the transfer ceremony immediately.‎

    ‎President Hassan Sheikh is expected to officially take over the presidential office in Villa Somalia next week after a transfer ceremony. ‎

    Several countries have relayed their congratulatory messages to  Hassan Sheikh Mohamud on his electoral victory on Sunday. 

    Invitations to the ceremony have reportedly been sent out to several countries, including  Saudi Arabia, UAE, Qatar, Oman, Turkey, Djibouti, Ethiopia, Kenya, China, the US, UK, and China
