MOGADISHU (Xinhua) -- Somali National Army (SNA) said its forces foiled an attack in the capital, Mogadishu early Saturday.
Sadiq Dudishe, the spokesperson of the Somali Police Force, said the officers intercepted two improvised explosive devices attached to a vehicle owned by a civilian who was being targeted near Daljirka Dahsoon area located in the capital.
Dudishe said the bomb squad safely defused the explosive devices, foiling the attack. No one was injured.
"The security forces closed business activity and the public road to avoid casualties," he said in a statement issued in Mogadishu.
