Mogadishu (HOL) - At least one civilian was killed, and others wounded after several mortar shells landed in different districts in Mogadishu on Wednesday night.
According to residents, one civilian was killed in the Hamarweyne district when a mortar shell landed near Case-Italia. Three others were injured by other mortars that hit Boondeere and Shangani districts.
No one has claimed responsibility for the mortar attacks in the capital, although Al-Shabaab often claims responsibility for such attacks.
The security agencies have not yet commented on the attack.
Four mortars landed in civilian houses in Mogadishu during last week's al Shabaab 30-hour attack on the Hayat hotel, killing at least four civilians and injuring others.
