MOGADISHU, (HOL) — A significant explosion echoed through the districts of Mogadishu earlier today, near the Sayidka junction, a critical security post for the Somali Presidential Palace.

Initial reports indicate the blast was a suicide bombing executed by an individual wearing an explosive device, targeting Baar Bulsho, a restaurant adjacent to the Sayidka intersection.

Details regarding the number of casualties remain unclear, and Somali security agencies have not yet released any information concerning the attack that unfolded minutes ago near the Sayidka Junction in Mogadishu.

Emergency teams have reached the scene, working to transport those wounded in the explosion to safety.
