Mogadishu (HOL) - Somali President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud cut the ribbon on the newly reconstructed Mohamud Harbi road in the Warta Nabadda district and a new road named in honor of the late former President Ali Mahdi Mohamed in Abdiasis district, both located in Mogadishu.
Banadir Regional Administration, with the support of residents from both districts, reconstructed the roads through a self-sufficiency program.
President Mohamud commended the efforts of the Banadir Region administration and the residents for their steps and cooperation. He urged the people to intensify their contributions to the reconstruction of economic infrastructure, public roads, economic growth, and the enhancement of Mogadishu's urban aesthetics.
Just two weeks ago, Prime Minister Hamsa Abdi Barre presided over the ribbon-cutting ceremony for the newly reconstructed Taleh Road in Hodan district, Mogadishu, which had undergone reconstruction as part of community-led initiatives.
