Eid ul-Adha is being celebrated today in numerous countries across the globe, including Gulf states. In Makkah and Madinah, inspiring gatherings for Eid prayers took place, while pilgrims are engaged in the symbolic stoning of the Jamarat.

In Saudi Arabia and other Gulf countries, Eid ul-Adha is being observed with religious fervor and respect. Millions of Muslims participated in the soul-stirring gatherings for Eid prayers at the Grand Mosque in Makkah and the Prophet’s Mosque in Madinah.

Sheikh Abdul Rahman Al-Sudais, the Grand Mufti of the Holy Mosque, delivered the Eid sermon at the largest Eid prayer gathering in Saudi Arabia. He highlighted the virtues of sacrifice and urged Muslims to adhere to divine commandments with selflessness and sacrifice.

Eid prayers were also held in over 12,000 mosques of varying sizes across Saudi Arabia, with participation from Saudi citizens, Pakistanis, and other foreign nationals.

Following the Eid prayers, the sacrifice of animals is underway, fulfilling the Abrahamic tradition.

In Makkah, pilgrims will shave their heads and remove their Ihram garments after the sacrifice today. They will then perform the Tawaf al-Ziyarah (circumambulation of the Kaaba) and Sa’i (running between the hills of Safa and Marwa) in simple attire.

Pilgrims spent the night in Muzdalifah under the open sky, collecting pebbles for the Jamarat after Maghrib and Isha prayers.

Similar Eid gatherings were also held in the United Arab Emirates, Oman, Qatar, and Bahrain.

Meanwhile, the Bohra community in Pakistan is celebrating Eid ul-Adha with their traditional enthusiasm. After offering Eid prayers, the Bohra community is engaged in the sacrificial rites, fulfilling the Abrahamic tradition.

It is worth noting that Eid ul-Adha will be celebrated tomorrow in some parts of the United States, the United Kingdom, Europe, and Canada. In Pakistan, Eid ul-Adha will be observed on Monday.
