SSC-Khatumo leader warns Ethiopia, Somaliland against military interference

    Mogadishu (HOL) - Abdiqadir Ahmed Aw-Ali Firdhiye, the leader of the SSC-Khatumo administration, has warned against potential military interference by Ethiopia and Somaliland in his territory.

    Speaking to thousands of people today in a public square in Las Anod on Thursday, Leader Firdhiye reported claims of Ethiopian troops being deployed to SSC areas under his administration's control. "We cannot accept this; we do not welcome such interference. We are responsible for our people and our territory. We oppose any foreign forces' aggression or intervention,"

    Firdhiye called on the federal government in Mogadishu to take a firm stance in support of national unity.

    As tensions rise, Firdhiye has directed his forces to maintain high alert status and called upon the residents of Lasanood to defend themselves against a potential conflict instigated by Somaliland.

    "Musa [Bihi] and his regime are hinting at war. We say to Musa, 'Do as you wish. We are ready for you.' If you defy the will of God, you will face defeat."
